FAQs

Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. Please read through the questions and answers to learn more about New Hope Ministries. If you still have unanswered questions, please visit out Contact Page and use the form there to submit your question.

What are your services like?

Each weekend at New Hope Ministries you will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. A sermon from our pastor will strengthen you and encourage you. Each sermon exalts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and brings a fresh understanding on how to apply the scripture in your everyday life. Pastor Grant excels in “simply teaching the Bible simply”. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled HopeZone and Upper Room service.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you by asking you to stand up, but we will ask you to raise your hand so we can give you information about the church. At the end of the service, all first time visitors are invited to join the Pastor and his wife in our Hospitality Room. There you will receive a small gift bag and you can ask any questions you may have concerning New Hope Ministries. Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

What do I wear to attend your services?

You will find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because New Hope Ministries is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Do you have a mid-week service?

Yes, we do from 7 PM to about 8:30 PM. We also have a complete dinner available in our Ministry Center. We start serving dinner at 4:30 PM. For more information, please contact the Church office.

What about my children?

At New Hope Ministries your children are our top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a vibrant children’s ministry as well as life-changing ministry from junior high through high school.

How do you baptize?

Baptism is not necessary for salvation – salvation is by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8). We are baptized as the man, Jesus Christ, was baptized, being fully immersed into the water. Water Baptism is an ordinance of God, just like Communion is an ordinance. This ordinance does not save you, but does take you into a closer relationship with Christ, because of your obedience.

What about Communion?

At the Last Supper before Jesus was crucified, He instituted the practice of taking Communion. He told his followers “Do this in remembrance of Me.” New Hope Ministries offers Communion on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 8:30 AM and on the 3rd Sunday at 6:00 PM in our sanctuary. Any believer is welcome to participate, even if they do not normally attend New Hope Ministries.

How do I become a member?

Several times a year, we offer Ministry Partners classes. Ministry Partners is not your typical membership class, but helps you discover who God has made you to be and the gifts He has placed in you. All this leads to your personal pathway to ministry, serving in a manner that glorifies God and edifies the Body of Christ. Our desire is for you to be in a meaningful place of ministry in which you are fruitful and fulfilled.
