Vision: “Developing leaders to engage, equip and empower students to fulfill their mission to God, family, Church, community and the world.”

Mission: We want you to have a “breakthrough” in your own life and understand the calling God has on your life so, in turn, you can help others learn to talk to, walk with, and to depend on God in their time of need or blessing. Our ministry here at New Hope teaches students from 6th grade to 12th grade.

Catalyst SERVE OPPORTUNITIES

Here is a list of places you can serve at Breakthrough Student Ministries:

Creative Team: Organizes and engineers the creative production of services & events.

Follow-Up Team: Oversees the relational/organizational side of connecting with visitors (phone calls, mail-outs, personal contact for the following week) every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30am.

Breakthrough Cafe Team: Helps deliver an amazing cafe experience.

Outreach Team: Develops and coordinates projects, missions, events and ministries to serve God, the community and the church.

Prayer Team: Spiritually empowers and uplifts Breakthrough, its students, staff and leaders through a network of prayer. The prayer team is responsible to pray for people’s needs throughout the week with those who respond to the challenge of the message or salvation.

Setup / Teardown Team: Prepares / tears down every Breakthrough experience by ensuring that the lobby, worship and outside areas are set up & broken down for the rest of the week.

Welcome Team: Helps set the overall tone by welcoming, directing and assisting students.

Sound Team: Run the sound, lights and music for each service and event.

Administrative Team: Helps purchase café & event supplies, as well as assisting in phone calls and other errands for events.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

WHAT IS IT?
Summer Internship is a five-week intense spiritual and leadership development program that exists to give students and young adults an opportunity to achieve their maximum potential in Christ.

CORE VALUES:
Knowledge
It is our goal for summer internships to have a clean understanding of Scripture and how it applies to our lives today.

Identity
It is our goal to help students and young adults find who they are in Christ and embrace their God given identity.

Discipline
It is our goal to set up a structured environment to help students develop discipline in their lives.

Prayer
It is our goal to teach students how to connect with God on a daily basis.

Service
We desire to give students and young adults the opportunity to learn to serve in many different areas of ministry.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP CONTRACT

Summer internship students and young adults are mentors with influence in students’ lives. Understanding this, we want to be faithful to the calling God has given us and lead those He has entrusted to us in positive directions. Having integrity and character is a big key to being a successful summer intern leader.

As a Summer Intern Leader I agree to….

No drinking or using substances.
No sexual relationship outside of the context of marriage.
Listen to positive music as far as it depends on me.
Be faithful to attend all student services and areas in which I’m serving.
Being wise with what I put before my eyes.
To seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
